Today I had my wisdom teeth out. Just on one side though, on the right. It's all a bit of a mess, I can't eat solids and I'm not supposed to drink alcohol for 48 hours.
It reminds me of snapping my ACL (thats the anterior cruciate ligament in the knee) in a funny kind of way. I was skiing in New Hampshire with some friends, back when I lived in the US. But I'm a diabolically bad skier - so on a slightly steeper bit I fell over and twisted my leg. The pain was incredible - and I had the iron taste of blood in my mouth, even though there was none there. So it was a combination of the pain, the taste, and the clarity of the air - that anaemic kind of light that you get in a dentist's chair, or during winter in the Green (White?) Mountains. Don't do it, kids.
