Started my new job on tuesday. I'm no longer a body shop employee (woot). Doing really well with the waitressing part. Burnt the crap out of my hand though. Fucking soup is HOT!!! It blistered up and generally looks puketastic. frown Oh and it hurts like a motherfucker too. lol

Um I was never really taught how to paint. When I was in highschool I tried to draw with paint more than paint with it. One day when I was in grade 12 I was just looking and studying a modern art book. Then I just started fooling around, trying different things, and playing with the paint.

I eventually got to where I am now by doing that, even when I went to art school I never ever went to my painting class. I thought it was utter bullshit.

This lady who wasn't even talented was our teacher. And each project we had was to try to imitate past artists. I was so NOT into that. Every single project she haded out I handed in whatever the fuck I felt like. I don't think I did one project according to the guidelines.

Oils are a bit different than what I paint with though.Like you have to mix them more, add that oil stuff and defidently gesso your canvases before you start. I've never really worked with them much because I don't have the patience to let them keep drying. I use liquid acrylic for the most part and it dries almost instantly.

Moral of this big long comment....PLAY, have fun, use differnet brushes, put your fingers in it and your toes it in squish it around. You'll find happy mistakes and know the extent of your medium.

Casey's back! woohoo. It took an entire day for the lousy mood to wear off once he got home though.

UPDATE: The mustang is back in our posession! All fixed. Looks great. Too bad we couldnt get them to paint the entire car. Thanks to all my taggee's for being good sports. Its a really good time getting to know little facts about people.
