@missy @rambo and @lyxzen if only the world were perfect and money didn't matter and we could always follow our hearts and passions rather than getting sucked into various things in the corporate world just to make ends meet. What I would do if money didn't matter is something I've probably already mentioned about myself, and already do as just a hobby and that is make art. It's no joke when people say that they're a "starving artist." In a world where people want everything fast and mass produced artists often suffer because we're one person creating something absolutely one of a kind and it can't be copied in a factory.
Since I was a little girl and been wonder struck by the world I have loved to paint and draw. I would always tell my dad when I was small how someday I was going to be an artist and that I would make beautiful paintings for all to see. He disagreed with me and told me to give up on that dream because I would never amount to much if I always lived in a fantasy world. Eventually if you're told something enough, especially when you're younger it sinks in and you begin to believe it.
So for a few years art took a backseat on this ride of life and I didn't pay it much attention besides a random doodle or sketch. Once I made it to highschool some form of art was a required subject. Little did I know that this is when my passion and will to create would truly be awakened. On my first day of art class I knew in my heart that something spectacular was going to come from being in this class at this very moment.
My art teacher slowly became one of my all time best friends and greatest mentors I'll probably ever know. I give her all the credit for willing me to open up my feelings on to paper and canvas and take risks making things that might not please the whole world. When I was her student she presented me with an award for being her biggest risk taker. On the award it reads:
"You approach unfamiliar situations and uncertainty with courage and forethought, and have the independece of spirit to explore new roles, ideas and strategies. You are brave and articulate in defending your beliefs."
This will always be one of the most valuable things she taught me and it allowed me to fully fall in love with being creative again. Even if someone crushes you down at the beginning, NEVER lose site of your true passions in life. No amount of money in the world will fulfill you as much as following your heart and what you have the most passion to be doing. So be a risk taker and follow your arrow to what you love. I promise it won't steer you wrong, but I think it's time for me to go paint ❤
