I was waiting to go into hospital last time I posted here. I had the operation to remove the right-hand side of my colon last Friday afternoon and this was me in the hospital coffee bar just two days later. The cancerous tumour was contained entirely in the colon itself, so hopefully that means I'm going to be fine now it's been taken away. I...

I'm feeling very lucky at the moment.

I haven't felt very well all year and finally went to see a doctor about it a couple of weeks ago. I thought that maybe I was just getting really unfit despite all the dancing and other exercise I do, but blood tests proved that I was very anaemic which was the real reason I felt tired and...

Really hope it went all right for you. I love the sentiment and the badass graphics, mind (Hubby is into D&D, and would approve hugely).

It's a romanticised biopic, but is at least broadly true to the events as outlined in Jill Lepore's excellent book, 'The Secret History of Wonder Woman'... It features feminism, free-love, role-play, bondage,...

'Searchers after horror haunt strange, far places.' H.P. Lovecraft, The Picture in The House.

I love to poke around in obscure places... This is a photograph I took in the ossuary beneath Montparnasse cemetery while on holiday in Paris a few years ago. It was much less busy than most of the usual tourist destinations in the city. It gets harder to access the old...

Are you into Lovecraft? I see from your profile that you like Edgar Allan Poe and HPL was a big fan of his.
