Several days ago I left my home with only a small backpack full of supplies and took a bus up here to Madison. I have not been left wanting since I arrived. I have showered, eaten, been fed, am clothed, have gotten endless free cups of iced chai and coffee, and have attended the randomist of random house parties.
"Casual sex is over, man. From here on in it's true love or nothing at all!"
"That's bullshit, what the fuck is this, crazy carebear town? What the fuck are you, a hallmark card?"
So we got drunk and at the most random of random house parties and walked home screaming
"I get knocked down and chumbawumbagain and never gonna get me down"
Because that's what happens and the sailor jerry was our third companion and we said hello to every passing lovely because hello and a smile will aid in true love far sooner than any bullshit will.
Today I went into Avol's bookstore with a hangover and a debit card and couldn't find a copy of "The Master and Margarita" even though I've been told endlessly to read it and I never have.
I still deem Avol's to be the greatest used bookstore in the world. They did actually have a copy of it but it was a first edition and that is not what I was looking for so I simply bought copies of Ulysses and Finnegans Wake to replace the copies I gave away when I purged myself of all material possesions.
Now I am off again!
