the american mall scene. cottons and candy. shopping is the antiactivity. any fool can buy this trash. theyll even chose it bag and charge it for you. it doesnt prove anything. all it shows is that you know how to spend and would rather... than make or think or do something meaningful. maybe some do both but why. why do people want this crap so bad. i want some crap so bad, but from you it doesnt say a thing. i dont see giving, the act alone, to be of value or virtue. the claim makes me sick.

Giving can be considered selfish. People often give to feel "good" They get some sort of gratification from seeing others happy, etc. And while that isn't particularly bad, it's certainly not a virtue.
