Well I didn't get to the beach...it RAINED ALL BLOODY DAY. What a rip. Ended up doing laundy..oh joy of joys. *insert gagging motion here*
However, rain and a newly weeded garden are the perfect playgrounds of little boys. The dood was out there making pits and piles of mud. "Strip in the porch and don't bring your muck into the house!" Hehehe....I'm such a hardcore mom.....although, I did think it was super cool he was playing out there and I took some shots to send to my mom. Grammas like that kinda stuff.
I'm getting another tattoo. All booked for July 1st. Oh Canada!
I have to book flights and hotels for August in Toronto....ugh. I just want to get all this shit done so I can chill out for a bit. The list is a mile long.......
Starting to get that spooky pre-performance feeling. It comes and goes. I just put my nose to the grindstone and try to think of something else. This work is so intensely personal in some spots....
Four pieces based on over 2 years of messing around with computers, lights, writing, drawing and dancing. I guess it finally came to a concrete idea last Nov. but I've gathered all the pieces from that far back.
The last 2 pieces are adage........incredibly adage...... The Unfolding and The Labyrinth.....my upper body is wrapped in white tape which I peel off at the end. It's like the freeing of the body and soul by being naked...although, sorry folks, you don't get to see anything.
The Unfolding ......it's a poem about Moth who lets go of the Butterfly Child. She's cocooned in the dust of memories and past life. She has to come to a place of solidarity in herself and let go of that which she holds most precious.....
I need to go dancing out of the studio...break a sweat and shake ma booty....some all mighty stress relief on the dance floor.
Thank goodness for SG so I can rattle off this, that and the other thing and really just be my quirky self even though I'm way off in the boonies.
Oh and on top of it, I have to put back on all the sweaters because I'm shivering. GRRRRRR......
Today's listening adventure: Anne Savage, Mario Pui, Old Skool Moby. (I'm so into hardhouse today.)

The image of your son mucking about in the mud is delightful. I imagine your mom will be very happy to get the pictures.
I feel a tinge of envy every time you mention dancing. I think I would have been a lot happier if I'd pursued dancing when I was a kid. Oh well. I still enjoy dancing period. I don't do raves anymore since I quit chemicals and everything died here in the city from all the coke floating around.
The pieces sound interesting. Will there be any pictures?
You didn't offend me in the least. Cow was a sad clown.
And don't worry too much about having me in the audience. I'm very open minded, and I'm sure you'll be great.
Old school Moby is great - Everything is Wrong is a classic album.
