So, while I sit usually bitching about my job, I find out today I got a 5k a year raise, which isn't much in DC, but hey, it beats flipping burgers at a fast food joint. I'm so excited right now. When I moved to DC almost 4 years ago, I hated it the first few years. I whined home to my friends about how it sucked and everyone was snobby, etc. Now that I'm financially able to support myself and actually get out and about without penny pinching, it's not as bad as it seemed. Yes, I know money doesn't solve everything, but having the ability to go do things on the weekends without worrying how your going to come up with rent money does help! Hope everyone has a safe and fantastic evening. I'm going swimming all weekend. Going to soak up some sun and have a few shots of Port just for shits and giggles.
