Well, the first full week of school is over, and now it's time to take stock. Students seem to be doing well, I've only had one night where I passed out before 9 p.m., and I even found time to go out to Hooters for dinner last night (it was my girlfriend's idea).
I think Hooters has a bit of an identity complex. It needs to decide whether it's a strip club or a restaurant, because at this point it does neither very well. I mean, the outfits are disappointingly tame, and the food is far from impressive. I mean, do something REALLY well rather than doing two things badly. GOSH!
On a happier note, I finally saw Napoleon Dynamite, which was quite excellent. I was hoping it wouldn't fall under the "built-up-too-much-therefore-anticlimactic" category, a category into which a number of movies have unfortunately fallen. I was pleasantly surprised by the movie, and I highly recommend it. On the other hand, I highly recommend seeing Anchorman, so can anyone really trust my opinion?

Yeah, you do have a point on the "family restaurant" argument. I've seen some pretty skimpy outfits waltz into family restaurants. I guess it all just depends on what the establishment is advertising.
