Still having a bad time. I do not like those days where I get the feeling that most people are not worth trusting, or caring about.
However, it was the right mood for my ramake of Leonard Cohen's "Famous Blue Raincoat". I must say, it is quite a job to sing something 'honestly' being aware that there is a fine line between sympathetic/pathetic.
I'm not sure which side I fall on. Guess it depends on who you ask.
Spent a couple hours today listening to some of the hundreds of bands on MySpace music from Portland. That's a sad thing, kind of. Something like 400 bands in this town, and maybe one or two will be able to make living playing music. I'll bet I could be that one if I found the right people. Standards. Standards keep me down here.

Stick to your standards and don't wait for 'the right people'. Do what you like and 'the right people' will find you. Good luck
