I had never checked out my school debt in detail until this morning.
I figured I had worked up about $30k in loan debt.
No.
$69k and rising. And I thought my $12,000 of credit card debt was bad.
There are some parts of this country where I could buy a house for that much money.
For about an hour it made me feel really mad at myself for pursuing two off-the-wall degrees in a row. But I can never stay mad at myself for long... not when I'm always doing what feels right.
So I'll be almost 60 by the time I pay off my college debt. So what? I'll probably be working til 100, at least.

I am very glad I never had to do that calculation. I probably should have had to, since I wasted my university time. But equally, I'd never have survived it if I had.
