I know you had good intentions with your thread post, but I'm not sure the CE is the best place to post it. There's a vegetarian group that'd love to discuss it, and given the fact that you may be trying to persuade others--perhaps the lifestyle board would better suit your purposes. It's just not really a Current Event. Moreover (and there's no way you could have known this) the vegetarian/meat eater debate has occurred so many times on this site, and it never ends well (mostly each side slinging insults at the other). Just something you might want to consider.
Personally, I've tried being a vegetarian for both ethical (and/or religious) reasons, but I've rapidly become very sick (I'm hypoglycemic). Anyway, I hope you didn't take my comments personally, and hope they might help a bit as far as future posts are concerned.
