Yea, American football does. Think it is probably because Christmas is so late in the week...There was enough rest/recovery time between the last game and Christmas day, plus it is a money making league, so they probably thought, why not schedule a game on a major holiday when everyone will be home watching?

god, if they were worried about you hitching a little they'll flip at the idea of youi going abroad for a year. . .

what a great experience that'd be, though, and you've got to look at it that way. opportunities are there to be grabbed, and you never hear of people who volunteered abroad saying 'oh, i didn't enjoy it, i wish i hadn't done it'. . . right?

anyway. much hilarity is already ensuing. we are. . . spending christmas at my MUM'S, adn she's pretty much making a big fuss over us both - so it's not TOO bad, and we're kind of plotting STILL going, even for a long weekend between now and easter so. . . .
