I had JUST about given in. Sitting in the minibus, thoroughly miserable that I had decided not to hitchhike. Then the minibus door decided not to lock, so we had to call out the AA man. Despite the awesome music and the picnic we had put together, it just wasn't the amazing time I had hoped I would have.

So, I go into the service station to get a cup of tea and who grabs me by the arm? My original hitching partner and best friend had just got dropped off and were waiting for a ride. Fifteen minutes later I'm in the back of a soilder's car on the way to Conwy (which is, like, a third of the way there). It was so exhilarating. Who can say they've been driven through the Welsh mountains in an ASDA lorry? Me, now.



So, thank you to everyone who gave me advice and spurred me on. It's been an unforgettable weekend.
