Birthday week preparations!

Our parents made a slight error in calculation when having my sister and I. Our birthdays are a day apart. Not so bad when we're young but it means that next year we're going to be 18 and 21 in the same weekend. Hah, we've been threatening mad plans since we were kids, now it's just a year away. Weird.

For now, however, we're 17 and 20. It's sis's turn on the 15th and though she's already had her present (an industrial bar in her right ear when she came to visit me a few weeks ago) but I figured I'd try and send her some flowers and I drew her something in her card. I love sending cards and getting presents for people. Wrapping gifts has always been one of my favourite parts of celebrations

As for my own birthday, I'm having a fancy dress party - "things you loved as a kid". My friend and I are going as Rogue and Gambit from the X-men as we are massive fan-girls (yeah, that's right, lady-boy Gambit. She's gonna be hot). A couple of friends from home are coming as the entire power rangers team, complete with papier mache helmets! It's going to be awesome.
