So, another Valentines Day passes and Erin is still lonely. Well, in a relationship sense that is. Not that I ever celebrated V. Day when in one anyhow, but seeing all couples at least pretending to be madly in love for one day of the year just rubs it in the face of all us singles. The fact that I attended an engagement party for two of my friends did also not help add to my feelings of wanting to be another person's person.
On the plus side, we don't have to waste money buying stupid presents for anyone (really, who needs balloons or chocolate, what practical use do either of those things have?), we can kick and roll around in our sleep as much as we like, we can go out and pick up whomever we so should please (if they are willing, that is), we can perve shamelessly on others without feeling guilty, our money is ours to spend, we aren't torn with feeling of jealousy or inadequacy or silly couply things like that...hey, it' pretty damn good to be single! Screw you Valentines Day! I don't need you.
As I got into my car yesterday arvo, I started to drive away when I realised there was something obscuring my view through the windscreen.
" Oh, it's a rose! Without the thorns!
Someone does love me!
And I thought to myself...maybe V. Day ain't that bad afterall...

Well it's good to see you did in the end, now who the hell was it.
I had a great V.Tag with my Kate. seeing the two of us on Saturday would have made you sick, we were getting so romantic that it even made me feel queasy.
Nuckinya
Peace.
