It's so fun when a new one comes into the house. I knew where this one came from and was able to bring her into the bird room (they have their own room) within a couple of days. The new ones shake up the old ones. They all perk up and watch each other and squawk all day instead of sleeping.

Many of the birds I rescue come in hurt, sick, or just plain freaked out and crazy from abuse or neglect. This one is super sweet and in great shape. She's been a nice addition so far. Her old cage was dirty and broken, and not the right bars for a Conure. She now has a new cage and new toys and seems to be having a great time with the other birds smile

Holy Mother of god, my power was out for THREE days! Ack! And it was 104 here. Not so good. No internet, TV, air conditioning, food ruined in both refrigerator and freezer, etc.. I'm back, but alas, I have SO MUCH to catch up on, and I teach tonight.

I'll be back tomorrow to play around wen I have time. The new bird is here....
