drama inspires me to write. currently there is
no drama in my life. There is a lot of snow, though.
Snow is everywhere -- in my shoes, in my pockets, in my head,
in my eyes. I'm chiseled out of ice. Like one of those party sculptures.
God, I can't wait to start melting and run down the street
as dirty water washing down old leaves, newspapers
and cigarettes. Kids would make little ships out of
bark and let them sail down my back... and I would be
happy. I can remember how the sun smelled on my
street and how the old wooden fence eaten by time stood
there forever separating memories and broken lives.
I remember the chalk drawings on the sidewalk --
pink and green and blue. Things were much simpler
back then. Much simpler.
