So I guess the hot topic is: will Sandra Day O'Connor's retirement lead to the overturning of Roe v. Wade?

I've been sick about this since yesterday. In fact, I don't even really know what to write. Can someone please tell me what we're going to do about this? I need some inspiration here.

Here is some inspiration plus creepy toy mastabatory material for your inkjet printer/desktop.

Today I watched a kid step on a baking powder mandala at an art gallery; luckily, the artist was there with all his materials and was able to repair it. So this begs the question: can children, even well-behaved ones, be trusted in places like that?

It pisses me off that parents, in choosing to bring their children to questionably kid-friendly places, frequently end up...

I can understand children in restaurants (kids like food), stores (kids like stuff), and maybe even in movies (as in, G-rated ones; no others, please!), but an art gallery? That just says: "We have ridiculous expectations of our child's aesthetics and/or are too cheap for a sitter."

Today's poll:

-Is it weird for me to leave my glasses on during sex?

-Have you ever wounded someone upon their request?

-What's the nosiest, most inappropriate question you can think of?

So the truth is that I'm from Irvine minus three weeks, which is to say I'm betrothed to the place but don't actually live there yet. It's a half-lie. What's the last half-lie you told?

I love that my options are "not looking" and "on the market;" these phrases imply blindness and consumerism, alternately. So what am I really after? I need to come up with some more phrases.

Instead of "not looking," try:
-all holes filled
-this service is temporarily unavailable
-I was seeing someone but then they broke up with me and, I dunno, we're sort of back...

Getting mixed signals from the S.O. And, an ex accused me of harrasing her, and registered a totally bogus claim with my uni, so I've got to go down there on Monday and clear my name. One of those people I should have never been involved with.

Today has just been a pain in the ass.
cabaretic:
She normally doesn't date men...normally prefers women...but has made an exception for me.

I sense she is wary about getting her heart too wrapped up into this...and what doesn't help is that I am car-less at the moment and must rely on her to come pick me up if we're going to get together.

What also doesn't help is the fact that she lives 50 miles west.

Regarding the allegations...I'm just going to have to state my case, and apparently the hold on my transcript will go away once I make an apology and sign some paperwork.

This is just so fucking unnecessary, though. It just grew out of a very large misunderstanding that was blown far too much out of proportion. I actually apologized immediately afterwards for words said that she took out of context.

But I suppose I'll have to do it again, this time on the record.

Superbowl Sunday has been a wash. I have eaten almost everything in my path, including the cuticle on my right pinkie and a stale brownie. This must be the seventh or eighth time I've seen "Irma Vep," but it never seems to get old. I'd rather be enacting the boredoom than watching meaty fellows smack each other around on a large, painted lawn.

So many people seem to write entries in question format. Okay, here goes:

1. Why did you do it?

2. Do you think that "life coaches" have souls?

3. Did you fuck my wife?

4. If two trains are traveling at 70 mph towards hell, would they collide against my granddaddy's abdomen? And if you were in one of the trains, would you say hi...

1. Non-REM sleep helps people learn process-based data: for instance, a complex sequence of actions like entering a series of commands into a computer, or licking your girlfriend to orgasm.

2. Hot climates tend to have more carbon dioxide in the air than cold ones. Plants need carbon dioxide to live, and have pores in their leaves which absorb it, but in an...

wow, media ecology is fascinating, mostly because i think that the mind is similar to an ecological system, and i'm not too big on the idea of consciousness, as we know it. it is absolutely necessary that more people study mental processes in a media saturated environment. i think what is going on now would make marshall mcluhan sad. by charged words, do you mean emotionally charged words? they are often used as memory aids, preparing the mind for responses. they are everywhere! it's disturbing.

well, i'm mostly a poet, though my g/f says i should just accept that i'm a musician and make music. i've done it all my life. she may right, she right about most things. love smile

what colleges are you thinking about going to? MIT has an incredible media dept. and it's where i want to end up if all goes well.
