My girlfriend and I bought our first house together! We closed on it and moved in the same day back in August. So far so good.
however, right before we decided to buy this house, my other job let me go..... and they let a few other people go as well, including my girlfriends sister who basically helped start the company. Kinda sucky situation.
But now, I am back to working retail full time for a paycheck that doesn’t quite make the mortgage, so I have exactly 2 months to find something better ..... or..... just grind out the holiday season with 2 jobs and pray it lasts me until March.
So, side note... I’ve been working at the same Retail company for 5 years, going into number 6 & I’m a key holder. Like... management position.... and I’m making $13/hr. Minimum wage here is $12.
I feel like I’m Getting the shit end of the stick.
Anywhoo... I’m still working and being creative and that’s all I know how to be.
This is supposed to be a positive post so back to it.
The house is great. Our location is pretty good. We are walking distance from a state forest. We have pretty good neighbors.
All in all, we really lucked out.
we save a lot on our energy output... except #EVERSOURCE charges us more for “delivery” of our electric than the amount we actually use.
it’s kind of ridiculous. Like, is Eversource driving up to our house everyday in a truck delivering our electricity like milk used to be delivered?
no. The electricity is moving in wires on its own until it can’t. Meaning .... it travels until it gets to our house anyway and we turn something on and convert that energy into something we need... heat, light, or Netflix.
Delivery charge. Pah!
Other good news, I lost 13lbs.... but I have gained about 6 of that back.
I need to get down, from where I am right now, another 15lbs before December 27th.

44 days to get my ass moving and to do something with myself.
