Well... i had the chance but it slipped by me.
I'm talking about the chance to tell the girl (from the last post) that what we have isn't working.
My best friend Liz said I was a Jerk & if i dont like her to not keep her on a line.
THIS IS TRUE.
But I'm really not trying to be a jerk. I'm trying not to do it at pivotal moments that would make it worse for her.
Granted, how hard is saying "I don't know what we've got, but I dont like you."
Now in contrast to make me sound like a really big asshole.....
I met a friend in the city.
a female friend.
She was a friend from college and she got tickets to see a play that her friend was in.
I couldn't pass this up.
I hadn't seen live theater (with paid actors) since November. It was due time.
so we go. we saw it. it was pretty good. her friend was okay. I felt like she was harsh, but not harsh enough. or... not bold enough. either or.
anywhoo.. the show was good. then I was starving because i hadn't eaten for 16 hours so it was time.
She was hungry too so we went to get food at bertuccis, because it's simple and delicious.
we just talked about school and where we want to go and what we're doing and what not....
and at the end of it all I started to wonder if we were just two friends going to do these things or if there was more behind it, but i didn't want to think too far into it because i was having a great time anyway.
She was driving. I left my car at her "house". (that's an entirely DIFFERENT story)
Anywhoo... she was driving this whole time and on the drive back to her "house" our conversation turned into relationship history. I wasn't exactly ready to share the shit I've been through, but it was comfortable with her to share and it didnt stir up any bad feelings. She seemed pretty comfortable with herself when telling her story.
We arrived back at her "house" and it was STILL raining. ugh. but we got out and she thanked me for a wonderful evening and came over to hug me. or so i thought. so i went in for the hug and she accepted. then we said a few things more about how we need to go see a movie together soon, and she went in for another hug. but by this time my brain was going "YOU STUPID IDIOT! SHE WANTS TO KISS YOU!"
But there was no way I was going to do that yet.
I think it definitely turned from friends hanging out to "DATE" with out me realizing it.
Maybe she knew it all along. idk.
So on the drive home (45minutes) she texts me and says "I know. I'm a dork, but can you please let me know you got back safe?"
I said - Of Course!
and when I got home and got to the team meeting i was supposed to be at I said "I'm home and off to my team meeting."
She replied, "Nice! I had fun tonight...see you soon!"
I dont know what the future holds here, but like with everything else I'll just take it a step at a time.
It's definitely time to let go of that fuzzy ball thing that is on my metaphorical sweater.
In other news: I am "directing" another play. I can't wait.
in other OTHER news: my best friend and I are going to the place I hate the most for a week's vacation.... NORTH CAROLINA! One week from tomorrow we leave. I'm excited.
If anyone knows of any good eating or good bars down there let me know!!
My Nephews have taken a following in their uncle's footsteps and are playing hockey. The oldest took his uncle's number!!!!!!!
I love those boys!!!
in the geek world of my life- I am playing Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks.
It's addicting, but predictable. Not one of the LoZ series better games, but it's fun and cute and the mic sensitivity is awesome!
The NEW ZELDA game comes out NOVEMBER 2010!!!!!!!!!!!
for the Wii
time to shower and start my day.... it's going to be a long one. 530pm-530am.
