brief rundown of life
I passed the MTELS
(I can teach in Massachusetts)
I've been having some odd dreams... (no surprise there... but the content goes from real life stuff to obscure randomness that makes no sense... which is how it used to be all the time... to which i thoroughly enjoy.)
still only one job.
need another.
i told off some girl who wanted my stuff .....
she was way more than i needed.
I cant handle clingy.
a certain level of affection and loving is fine.. but not obsession.
frisbee has been getting cancelled more this month than alllllll of last season!!!!
went to the bar tonight.... ended up seeing allll of my comic dudes
BBC had no Hobgoblin this time.
well.. probably time for bed.
night night.

I was driving down {I 495} and i saw something on the side of the highway that looked potentially interesting and innocent. I jam on my brakes and go into the breakdown lane. I throw my flashers on and put my car into reverse..... big 18 wheelers of all sorts are whipping by me.
BY THE WAY (now that -i hope- i have you in full suspense) the object in question is a turtle trying to make its way from one side of the highway to the other. (i spotted it as it came out of the grass) It hasn't quite made it to the white line.
So i am backing up and I look to see how this little guy (or gal) is doing....
The turtle crossed the FOG LINE (yes... that's what that white line is called) and is almost 1/4 the way into the first lane of the highway. i counted about 8 cars and 4 18wheelers that nearly missed this turtle. the last truck had so much force it blew the turtle back 2 feet. The whole time i was willing the turtle not be struck.
it paid off.
I jumped out of my car and ran the last 90 feet and edged myself out into traffic to scoop up the turtle.
Which i believe was a red eared slider...
I discovered later (just before i relocated it to a more rural setting) that my turtle was a female going to Nest.
I SAVED 2 GENERATIONS OF TURTLES!!
(I really need to get a bumper sticker that says 'I brake for Anapsids'.) Anyone want to send me one?!
