Went to michigan this past weekend.
Stayed in Utica.
There was a Dave and Busters right across the street from the hotel !!!
Whoop whoop!!!
anywhoo... can you guess who went there and spent a lot of money drinking and playing Skeeball???....
That would be me.
My cousins asked me to take a toast with them.
(i didnt buy the drink so i was ok with it)
It's been a while since i had Jager.... and you know what?.... it tastes like black licorice.
It went down too smoothly for me.
I prefer the burning sensation of whiskey.
well... i got my wish when we went back to the hotel and went in my cousins room.
I had enough tickets from D&B to get a stuffed bear for my wedding date, a Stewie doll for my brother in law, and a shot glass for me... and i was still left with over 2,000 tickets!!!
So we get back to the hotel... go to my cousins room (aka the after party room) and as soon as i got in there i saw my cousins... his friends... my younger cousin who's 19, my sister, my brother in law, and my uncle.
that last one was a bit of a surprise. I never expected to be drinking with my uncle.
One of my cousins is a Marine. He was a Drill instructor for a while. He is a tough S.O.B. But seeing him plastered and full of more emotion than normal really made me feel good. It was nice to see him as how i saw him when we were little. Minus being drunk.
So the marine cousin of mine sees that i got a shot glass and asked if i wanted beer. I hate light beer and there was no dark beer in the fridge so i said no thanks.
Well he grabbed my shot glass and poured the only hard alcohol in the room in it. Whiskey. (my fav) but a brand i never heard of.
well... he kept forcing me shots in front of his dad (my uncle) and infront of my sister (who is 6 years my elder and who has never seen me drunk, nor I of her.)
I may be a small guy... but i can hold my liquor.
after 3 beers (and taking a long time to drink them) my sister was GONE!
my cousin (the marine) was GONE, but i'm sure he had way more than i did.
his older brother had maybe the same as me
and the younger brother (the one getting married) had a the same as him. (the marine)
Needless to say I slept fine woke up fine and went to the wedding fine.
My bother in law, and my cousins were all hurting bad at the wedding and wedding reception.
the wedding started at 2 the reception at 5...
you do the math.
hahaha.
I'm not one to drink either.
I drink once or twice a month.
this was my end of November, beginning of December capita.
The wedding was nice. the reception was good. the going to bed @12 and having to wake up at 5 was not so good.
we had to catch our flight back, but there was going to be delays.. so if we had missed our connector flight in NJ then we would be waiting there for 13hours until the next flight to Providence.
but my Brother in law managed to get us on a direct flight and we got home earlier than we would've anyway.
My thoughts are all over the place and i apologize for that... but if you've got a question about my adventure to MI please feel free to ask!!
I'm going to play video games and read and watch tv all from the comfort of my warm warm bed, because my bedroom is FREEZING!
