That's ridiculous. I guess his case was that you knew the condition when you took the place but that should be no excuse. He sucks.

No, I didn't. I came and looked at the house and everything was there. When the previous tenants moved, they found a leak that destroyed the kitchen and part of the bathroom. They had to gut out all the walls, and all of the appliances were ruined and the landlord did not tell me anything. I moved in to this and was completely shocked! I had already gave him 1st month's rent (1400 dollars) and a deposit (1400 dollars). I was too broke to move. But for the month of June I gave him 700 dollars because this is completly F-ed up!mad
