Well, I am no longer unemployed. I am back at the company I started out for, APing on a couple of pilots. So first, the obligitory casting ad:
We are looking for people who want to reunite with their lost loves. A relationship that didn't work out, an engagement broken, a person who you never got to share your feelings with. It is a major network show, and this is not a surprise reunion thing. I am tired of talking about it, so message me if you have any questions or are interested, or email my work addy:
yourstory@aspla.tv or call 800-538-2419. If you email, please leave a phone number so one of the producers can give you a call.
But i have made an important decision. I hate reality TV. Really really hate it. It is a total deathtrap devoid of intelligence or creativity. I am making a concious effort to return to my writing, and there is a producer who works in episodic TV who is helping me find a writer's assistant job. I have also decided that I am no longer going to try to get myself promoted beyond Associate Producer. There is no point to be promoted in an area I hate. Why add all the hours and stress if it will make me more miserable? At least this way, I make ok money for relatively stable hours and I don't care if the show goes or not - not on my head (though I certainly don't want it to fail - hence all my adverts all over SG).
Anyway, enough rambling... leave me a little "Go Spork!" message... and please motivate me to write! I am working on a Law & Order spec that is kicking my ass! Buffy scripts were way easier to write. Maybe I should write a Monk or Dead Like Me spec next...
