Thank you everyone for posting your insights about the whole age thing. No man in my life has made me feel bad, it is more when I go out. I remember a time when I could walk into a store and get free stuff or discounts just for being cute, and go into a bar and have a dozen drinks sent in my direction. I know this is my own vanity and boo-fucking-hoo if everyone in the world had my problems but I have seriously noticed a decline in the "extra mile" stuff I used to get for being young and cute. It annoys me because I think I look better and am so much better now as a person than I was 10 years ago.
Then I go out with male friends and they just are so stupid about the young young women, it makes me want to throw up when I hear them talk. I am sure a lot of it just talk, like the men who make awful statements about "fat" women and then 6 months later you see him dating a woman who could stand to loose 50lbs and he thinks she is fabulous. You wonder was he talking out his ass, trying to impress me by being a dick or is he just in general an asshole who is hitting with the larger girl until he can ditch her for something "better"? I don't really know. Maybe they gaga over the young young women and girls because they feel it is a safe thing to be gaga over? Whatever it is I just find it irritating and a little insulting. Men are not plagued by the same stereotype as they age. Plenty of women, myself included would still hit it with a whole list of men old enough to have fathered us. Patrick Stewart, Alan Rickman, David Bowie, Peter Murphy etc. How many men will openly get gaga over the idea of hitting it with Susan Sarandon? I bet she is a pretty cool person with a lot of life experience but people just don't look at women the same way. That's ok for me I guess, I'm loved and adored myself and have people in my life I believe will love me no matter how old I get but it does make me sad to miss out on the cool perks of youthfulness. I guess in the long run the benefits of not being the same dumbass I was 10 years ago well outweighs the drawbacks of no more free goodies.
It really isn't the free stuff I care about but more the implications of of no longer getting it.

But seriously, beauty is a perception not only of physical attributes or style. . .but also of soul. Sometimes guys shoot for the least common denominator because looking further implies they are getting older too. Sorta tha same reason so many yuppies on viagra drive hummers. . .
The truth of the matter, is that the only men who really want young women are too young to know the difference. At some point, you want someone who is comfortable with themself, mature, and knows the ins and outs of their OWN body as well as yours. You dont' find that on many youngens....
