I hope this is a good sign. The hail must have been the size of golf balls or tennis balls because that is how big the holes in the skylight are. And the evap cooler on the roof is pulverized but it was old and probably needed to go anyway.
Aside from the skylight, evap cooler and trees and hedges being quite a bit worse for wear and one branch blown off one of the old trees, the house appears to have survived the storm. No leaks except for the holes in the skylight which was over the tub. I hope this means this is the right house and we can finally close without any other crazy things happening.
The neighborhood looks like a war zone with the destruction all over. It was insane!
Any car not in a garage yesterday is full of dents. I drove through a poorer neighborhood and saw a LOT of older Hyundai's and low end Chevy and Chrysler cars which I know don't have full coverage insurance on them all beat to hell. Broken windows, pock marks. It was really sad because you know the people who own them can't afford to fix them so they are now stuck with them looking bad and will have to spend money they probably don't have on new glass. I doubt there is any fund to help people at least get legal by fixing their glass. I kind of wish there was, I feel really bad for them and it isn't even something people should have expected or been able prepare for. This storm was so unexpected. I have never seen hail this big in AZ before.

You mention finally closing on the house. Is this the one you wrote about before?
