from my younger years:
(ironically from before I lost anybody to H)
Queen of Swords
Below the dragon guards
His fires, and torments
Outside the dark reigns
The Queen of night bows her head
Crystal shards imbed the earth
Night flyers rattle the bars
The darkness pierced by cold fires
In the hills, blackened
We worship a blue-black
Screaming to gods profane
With blood on...

My fave Angelina quotes...
"I need more sex, OK? Before I die I wanna taste everyone in the world."
"When other little girls wanted to be ballet dancers I kind of wanted to be a vampire."
And my all time favorite:
"You're young, yourre drunk, you're in bed, you have knives; shit happens!"

I love that totem!!
If you have any problems getting hold of stuff of any of those bands, please just let me know. Most recommended are The Horatii, a British goth band that only last two albums but they have a great cult following, of which I am one

RE: ' ...or did he see the minotaur as being something more powerful than himself? an expression of the strength of the bull within human form from the bullfights he so loved'
Well, he was a compulsive womaniser and I suspect that he may have seen the Minotaur as how some of his contemporaries and antecedents (in other fields, particularly in prose and verse) saw the Greco-Roman Dionysus. And the Dionysic lifestyle Picasso certainly took to heart....
Have a great day.

Just finished the first solid 40 hour week of work that I have had in about a month and thus the summer season begins, soon all the flatlanders will be coming back.
cooked curried fish fry for dinner tonight with steak fries. I passed a greasy spoon on the way home from work tonight and the smell alone was enough to make me run out...

Madness
Somebody else's madness, which I am sharing with you folks for coming and being part of my madness (madness pictured left).
I went hiking today in the driving rain while my state (and the park) flooded. Water was everywhere. On the plus side winter is over (officially) it was a balmy 40F today and some of the snow was gone. I wanted to play...

that was really cool - the madness video - highly psychadelic - you remind me of a friend I used to have with your love of nature - Ilike nature too - but cities more I guess -

LOL thanks it certainly was a rather bizarre sight thats for sure. The company that he worked for came and cleaned it up the same name after the local constabulary informed them that the caretaker, who had noted down the vehicles registration, also had a couple of photographs in his possession. I got a nice thank-you letter of the Council, which maybe goes some way to countering the usual complaints they send me LOL
I love that drawing. There is something very haunting about it with its beauty grafted to nightmare at the neck. It brought to my mind the succuba of folklore.
Best wishes & Have a great day.

I like what you said - I did feel like I needed to fight him if he wanted to, like in the old days you know, since I insulted him, I guess I felt like I owed it to him or something -
it turns out he didnt show up.... which is weird - and after my friends had to read my super long updated about it too, I wish I had some cool story and pictures to post..... but nothing happened - I texted him "wow, that was some fight, we're not friends, dont ever call me again" so I guess thats the end of it.... now I just need to find a girl in leather - that sounds better for sure - fighting is stupid- I could really only imagine myself doing it if I was protecting someone or something -

great wings unfolding
breath that will not come
beat that drowns out thought
close
burning pillar of fire
shrieking inferno
ash
open
flood
wave
physical shudder
thrashing seizure
close
fear
strength
wall of fire
open
understanding
like a blind man
who once saw
knowledge
empty
close
so
much
pain
open
stillness
body breathes
fire races
burning away

I did see.... I'm still working on shrinking those pix.
I know they have a shelf life, But we will be using them in the next 5 years. I know some hybrids will reproduce, but many are sterile, and you have to keep crossing with the original progenitor to get the same results: f2 plants will be completely different from f1 by definition, and they're not good to breed your own varieties because you don't know what you'll get. Hybrid seeds are typically bred for commercial purposes, assuming the use of fertilisers and pesticides, to yield fruit all at once, ease of mechanical-picking etc. I'm not an idiot
And while I do believe "liberal greens" as you call them tend to exaggerate things, there are definitely problems with the way things are being done. It's a delicate issue. There is definitely a limited supply, especially if something happens that causes people to start hoarding.

I got all sorts of stuff, mostly stuff to grow further north: peas, lettuces, broccoli, kale, spinach, cabbage, brussel sprouts, some native varieties like miner's lettuce..
