Obviously I had my camera with me :P Ducked into the Sea Life Centre to try and get some shots of the animals. Not as ideal as getting shots in the wild, but I've not SCUBA dived in years and an underwater rig would be expensive. There are so many vivid colours and textures in nature, which give great photos. Some of my shots came out really well, I've been trying out a feature on my camera that I've never used before, called "Subject Tracking", where you set what you want the camera to focus on and then position it in your scene, the camera tracks the object so that it remains in focus as you position it. The shots came out really well. It was challenging early on, as the animals constantly move it was difficult getting the settings right so that they didn't blur once I took the photo, whilst trying to maintain the colour of the shot, but I think I got the hang of it. So all-in-all a very productive trip. To celebrate, I spent the evening at a rooftop bar/tapas restaurant... the food was amazing, so were the drinks, if anyone finds themselves in Melbourne, head to the corner of Lonsdale and Exhibition St and check out Bomba Bar.
