Thank you for your comments. I agree that it is sometimes really annoying to intellectualize stuff like music. Me personally, I really don't like music to be about politics (UGH!) or "important world issues" (as someone else put it) and similar stuff. I am all for people being into politics and world issues, but I just can't stand it being in my music since when I am listening to music, I just want to be entertained. And politics just ain't that entertaining. Hell, I am gonna get off more on some band doing a cartoonish song about worshipping Satan (ala old Mercyful Fate) than someone doing a song about how bad of a president they think we have or whatever. That can be damn boring most of the times anyhow, eh?
