Update, woo!
Here's some stuff that happened this week:
* I interviewed Terry and Dean of FUBAR fame for my local free weekly, henceforth referred to as [here] mag. I wrote the article last night and this morning, and it'll run next week.
* I'm trying to make my friend Adam let me join his band. I went to one of their practices last night b/c their current bass player had to work, yet again. Its was fun, I even wrote some stuff for them.
* I did a bunch of research assistant-related work this week, including sending emails, printing emails, and filing emails. I have a lot of reading to do between now and my next meeting with my boss on Wednesday, but luckily I have to read academic papers and not emails. My boss also wants me to come with her to a dinner in SJ sometime later this month to meet a bunch of community partners involved with her sex trade study.
* I got paid for being a research assistant today. Which means I was able to pay rent, and not much else. Aw hell.
* It's hot like a motherfucker. Not really... like, in August, this will seem like a cool spell. I want it to be 20 degrees at all times, with zero humidity. I cannot wait until my "new" laptop gets here because it'll enable me to connect to the internet wirelessly, which means I can work in the basement all day instead of up here on the second floor. Ugh!
Here's some stuff I've got coming up:
* Coffee date with Synnove and her world famous rack!
* Two more interviews for [here] mag slated for this weekend: Atomic Machetes on Saturday, Greg Webber from Buckettruck on Sunday. W00t!
* More research assistant work. Fun!
