We just got a ton of snow, so tomorrow I'm heading down to our local mountain climbing shop (this is Canada, eh? we have those sorts of things) to hopefully purchase these (or something similar):
Ugly as they may be, they are wildly practical. A little piece of me died today when I realized I should buy those and not a new pair of semi-practical Docs to replace my rapidly decaying ones (nothing wrong with them really, but there's no tread left on the soles, so they're not good for walking on ice and snow)

Theres a shitload of snow here too. I think u guys got more, but this weather is pretty harsh, even for Canada.
