* That makes you like nearly all of my Sims. There's some shocking flu making its way round Pleasantville. And is it just me, or when you play Sims, do you start thinking that real life is also the Sims? Every time I wash a plate or fart I think I'm in some dull but oddly addictive video game.

* Pssst. Tanya told me that if there's one thing she hates, it's getting yellow duck slippers every year from where you work

* I used your handy link to look at Bust. It's at times like this I wish I was born as a woman in the 1980s. It's even got an interview with Devendra Banhart for heaven's sake. Maybe I should get Bust by mail-order

* So if my knowledge of Americana is up to scratch, the Hamptons is a rich man's holiday villa, right? If so, I would be willing to bet that--- given my current company of wealthy East Coast ivy league/trust fund Americans at University ---your boyfriend is currently hanging out with somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody that I know. * Three weeks ago, my Poundstretcher-managing friend moved from the Newtownabbey store to the Bangor store, after he collapsed from overwork about five weeks ago. In actual fact, he was told by his higher-ups that he should move, so with some reluctance he did. Today, though, he's pretty damn happy: the Newtownabbey store got firebombed by dissident Republicans last night. It was headline news this morning, until getting knocked into second place by the the fact that the UK's largest ever bank robbery took place in Belfast last night. We sure know how to get into the festive spirit in this country
