The dreaded Starbucks interview was this morning and I think it went really well. The manager was super nice and the interview questions were really easy. For the most part all she wanted to know was what I liked and didn't like about my past jobs, and some really general stuff like "When I say 'customer service', what does that mean to you?" I admited that I didn't love my last coffee-slinging job, but I assured her that it was mainly because they didn't give me as many hours as they told me they would whe I was hired, and that there was one supervisor who I didn't get along with... she was a fundamentalist Christian who hated me because I have piercings and wear pants. Anyway, she seemed really sympathetic and said something like "I've had jobs like that too, and it can really make you miserable in a job that you otherwise might love". I also told her how much I liked my last job as an office monkey because all the people I worked with were awesome, even my bosses. So overall, I think it went really well. She's supposed to call today or tomorrow to let me know whether or not I got the job or not.
Also, the mystery of "Who is that really cute girl who lives in the white house across the street and looks a lot like Anne Heche?" has been solved. She's the manager at Starbucks! And she is hella cute, too:

Good luck on that job. I really hope it goes well for you. Im in the same boat kid-o. I go in tomorrow for an interview/testing for a welding job. My plan is to be a bartender a few nights a week, learn welding till I can afford my own tools/and place to weld, and learn web design so that I can sell all the art or steel furniture on my own cool site. Then again, I really do believe life is what happens in between your goals. So what do you ultimately want to do? What is your dream job?
