I'm so behind on my blog homework, I've got loads to catch up on! I especially wanted to do this one though...
Empowering other women is so important, giving support and positive reinforcement whether in person or on social media to raise someone's spirits or to raise awareness of an individual or a worthy cause. I'll give compliments to people I know and people I don't. If I see a stranger and I like their style, hair, etc, I'll just tell them! Online or in person. Everyone is beautiful and unique ❤ this community embodies that.
I don't know if anyone else experienced this but being friends with different bands, I found that a lot of the other girls were really bitchy and mean. I never liked that attitude and I would go out of my way to be kind and welcoming to everyone. It's not a competition, we are stronger together.
Anyway, one thing that I have been doing a lot more of recently is supporting small, independent, ethical, female-run businesses. Many small businesses are struggling in the pandemic and I'd rather help them than large organisations. I'd like to share a few of my favourites here in the UK because they are fabulous and I think some of you might be interested... 🙂
1. Veronica Velveteen - she's a one woman show who makes the most gorgeous, bespoke velvet lingerie. When she opens her shop, everything sells out in minutes! I finally managed to bag myself a set last month for the first time and I can't wait to wear it. Here it is 😍😍😍

2. Witchy Candles - these are heavenly! Imbued with essential oils, plants, crystals and different vibes to suit any mood. Nicola who makes them is an amazing pin-up and boudoir photographer and this is her side craft, it's been really important for her when she's not been able to shoot. This one is to create calm...

3. Cherry Pie Art - this babe is an actress, model and artist. She has the cutest, badass designs! I recently bought these adorable (and political) earrings and I love them ❤
You can find her stuff here:

4. Fatal Moon - I am building up a collection of her crystal earrings, they're just so beautiful! She has plenty of other lovely pieces to suit the witchy, boho, emo, punk or rocknroll individual. This was my latest purchase...

5. Aerial Sports - This is my lovely pole mama who has adapted to giving her students online classes for the last year while studios have been closed. She's the best instructor ever and is so patient with my unfit ass, I can't recommend her enough! She's also a keen crafter and sent all of her students a little surprise gift to say thank you for sticking with her during the pandemic, this is mine (very me) and I'm totally hanging her up in my car!

6. Pin-up Parade - if you follow me on Instagram then you'll know that I do a lot of pin-up shoots. I've always wanted to do the Viva Las Vegas pin-up festival, I was planning on going last year 😭 when I do finally go, I'll be wearing this on the first day! This mother and daughter team personalise and make stunning pin-up clothes. How cute is this?
