2 months ago I filed a grievance against a co-worker , basically I put my hand on her hip as I was going behind the till to stop her bumping into me, she then had a go saying I shouldn't touch her etc so I was like 'fair enough, il let you bump into me next time' before she leaves, while I'm on the till...

ok, ive been talking to a lot of people about the whole LGBTetcXYZ thing, now il say right now, im a straight white man, that's it, not bells, no whistles, no identifying myself as a duck or whatever.

I suppose people who don't identify as the social 'norm' maybe just feel the need to come out so to speak. I have a lot of gay friends and since they all came out I've heard little from them on the topic unless we're all speaking about dating or sex. A man at my parents work also came out as transgender but he had no choice in whether or not he wanted to tell people because it's a huge and very obvious change. Shes apparently a very private person though and since giving her statement she hasn't mentioned anything about it. I suppose some people are just more vocal about who they are. I know sites like this give people a platform where they can realise they're not alone which I think is awesome. Society has drilled it into us to expect people to be the gender they're born as and to be hetrosexual which I don't think is right or fair but it does mean that people like you and I don't ever need to 'come out' because it's just expected.

now, I don't begrudge my granddad splashing his cash, giving his car to my cousin who is loaded while I...

Yeah it's funny that. When a family member dies or becomes really sick it's amazing to see who comes out of the woodwork. Just keep trying to do right by your grandad, fuck what your cousins think of you. There are so many stupid and selfish people in the world.

yes I agree, seems like you are the only one with some sense in that situation. at 87 i would think if a person wants a pet, a cat might be best. something easy to take care of. i'm so sorry about your loss, and about having to deal with that!
