If you live in Austin you already know what this is. For the many of you that don't, there is a flock of plastic flamingos that has been inhabiting the corner of Bee Caves and 360 for many years. Sometimes they move around the city, but for the most part they are always on that corner. I've seen up to two times this amount before.

When I log into 'beta', it tells me that I am online. That is really fantastic. I used to wonder, but those days are behind me now. I notice beta uses Flash pretty heavily. That brings a question to mind.

What is the killer feature of Flash 8 that got all the graphic designers to switch overnight? Was it free head? Did Macradobemedia personally fly...

its not so much one thing about flash 8. its more a boatload of awesomeness that, while doesnt rival nubile vixens feeding me chocolate, is still pretty steazy. layer blend modes, filter effects, subpixel text rendering, gradient masks, bitmap caching, *video*, lions, and tigers, and bears oh my!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to take Mr. Picninc up on the offer, now I have to go about making arrangements, it will be several months before I would actually go. I have to move in a new roomate this week and I have lots of remodeling and sorting of my stuff in this house. I also have to find a time when I can take off of work, there is only one other person in my photolab that can carry on my job when I'm gone, so I have to make sure all of the shifts are in some way covered.

I picked up a Dyson vacuum cleaner today, and by picked up I mean paid money for. For the Dyson fetishists among you it is the DC-15. This thing sucks in all the ways a vacuum should.

the emblem was removed from (or fell off of) my car again. this happens about once a year, so I should probably just consider it part of the cost of ownership. luckily the emblem is not expensive to replace and it does only happen annually .
