So I'm a horrible friend, and hopeful, it seems like months ago I should have wrote this blog, and I have meant to many many times and either couldn't figure out what to say, or got sidetracked, or life happened whatever... but I'm writing it now and Brodie I hope you'll forgive me for taking so damn long haha. So fun fact: I'm basically 50% clusterfuck of European, mostly Swedish, on my mom's side, and the other 50%of my heritage is Cherokee Indian from my dad's side.. another fact about me, is I grew up without knowing my biological father (and no I definitely don't have daddy issues, thank you very much. haha) Though because of that I hold my Native American heritage very close to my heart as it's really one of the only things I know about him, and while I'm not a part of any of the tribes that are plentiful in Washington, I do still like to think I uphold at least some of their values, and if nothing else their beliefs. Because of this, when I was 13 my family had a sort of "Initiation ceremony" no sacrifices or anything crazy, more a spiritual celebration, and through that I uncovered my totem animal, or "spirit animal" which is the Bear:
"In the kingdom of spirit animals, the bear is emblematic of grounding forces and strength. This animal has been worshiped throughout time as a powerful totem, inspiring those who need it the courage to stand up against adversity. As a spirit animal in touch with the earth and the cycles of nature, it is a powerful guide to support physical and emotional healing."
a bit about the bear as a totem animal, and before even knowing most, if not all of this, just by me mentioning that I eventually wanna get a bear tattoo, because it's my totem animal, @allycat9 went out of his way, and spent so much time drawing this bad ass spiritual bear for me, and even included the 3rd eye chakra after I asked if he could make it fit. & It's amazing! <3 I've never had someone (besides maybe my mom - who does the artwork for my children's books) draw something specifically for me, like with all sorts of little personal elements,it's amazing and I had to swooooooon over it publicly and thank @allycat9 again for being an awesome buddy I've made from the site, and helping me choose set photos, and drawing me awesome bears! Because what are friends for? Haha. Anyways - FEAST YOUR EYES ON THE AWESOMENESS!
