Being wide awake can be tough sometimes. So if things are a bit too bright and vivid, the intrepid and innovative must take action. They must invent a drink that tastes just like candy. Oh yes. One must sniff through his roommate's liquor cabinet feeling for the ingredients of inspiration. Using a Marachino liquor, I made several attempts before arriving at a drink that tastes just like Cherry Clan. To be clear, Cherry Clan was a candy made by the good people who bring you Lemonheads. Cherry Clan was later altered to Cherryhead which is still available today, but the Cherry Clan logo was completely bad-ass. So anyway the Cherry Clan drink is made like so:
1 ounce Marachino liqour
1 ounce vodka
1.5 ounces sweet & sour mix
2 ounces cranberry juice
Fine tune with sweet & sour mix to make it more tart, or Marachino to make it more cherry, vodka to make you more smashed, and cranberry juice to thin it out. Serve in a whiskey glass with an ice cube or two. My roommate says that if you want something that tastes less "like cough syrup", use cherry brandy instead of Marachino liqour. Sure it's good, but it tastes less like Cherry Clan, so who cares.

Spiced rum and Diet Dr. Pepper also tastes somewhat like candy. Hey, we were desperate and it was the only liquor/mix in the house...

Haha... I used that interview as the basis for a paper in which I argued for an ethical justification of file sharing.
