I was thinking, today, how quick we are, as humans, to make snap judgements.
Snap judgements about objects, or ideas or people.
We glance at something (litrally or figuratively), and its outline, its silhouette, makes an impression on us that we tend to carry over as more of the object is revealed to us, even if it was a false impression.
We owe it to ourselves to examine the minutiae of a given thing.
What may at first glance appear beautiful
may in fact be made of a thousand ugly instances. The fact that it appears beautiful from cursory examination does not, in fact, make it beautiful.
Of course, the opposite may be true as well. If we look at details and see beauty, we cannot help but see the (real) beauty of the whole.
The devil is in the details.

Hello, Satan.
I miss you terribly.
I'm going to wake you up when I get home.
I may require things.
