LEASE READ IMPORTANT--I NEED YOUR INPUT::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Okay, this is part of the reason why I stopped dating for three and a half years. Let me tell you what happened, and then I need to know what your thoughts are on this matter.
There's an attractive waitress who works next door to where I work. She's closer to my age then the girls I am used to dating, but I find her quite attractive. We've talked about six times in the past, and she waited on my table once.
Well, on Monday I asked her if she'd be interested in going to the SPEIGELTENT (at the South Street Seaport)with me this weekend. I explained that it's like a circus on acid, with acrobats, burlesque dancers, magicians, etc. She was into seeing it, so we comparred schedules.
We discover we both have Sunday off, so Sunday it is. She said to me, let me give you my telephone number, and she writes it on a slip of paper and also writes her website on it.
Now I open the door to my place of business about to leave her, and she calls out to me: "Max, I'm really looking forward to going with you." I reply, "Great, I'm looking forward to it too.".
So I call her on Wed. and leave her a message on her machine, tellingl her I bought the tickets, but have not booked the restaurant reservations, but I want her to go on the web and look at the menus of the two restaurants I am thinking of taking her to. One is outdoors on the waterfront, the other indoors.
She does not return my call.
I call her again on Friday and again, leave a message on her machine that I just want to firm up our plans for Sunday.
She has not called back and it is now 8:15pm.
Now I can understand a woman not wanting to say no and giving a telephone number to avoind saying no. I really do understand that--but why would you then call after me--after I was about to dissapear through the doorway to tell me you were looking forward to going? That the part I don't understand.
Please let me know your thoughts.

If you read my blog, you'll see I was stood up for my date tonight to see the fun at the Speigeltent at the South Street Seaport. The show features Julie Atlas Muz. If you are in NYC, and would like to join me for the 7:30 show, and dinner before--both my treat, let me know A.S.A.P.
I'd like to be there for dinner at 6pm, so I need to know if someone is joining me or if I'm going solo and burning the other ticket.

All I can say as a fellow dude is that the ladies can be jerks too. Take my ex-wife...actually don't. I don't wish that hell on anyone!
