Sinse i haven't bitched about this place in a while, here goes...

Ok, you know how in third world countries, schools are damn near dying for books to give to their kids? Any kind of book whatsoever as long as it's educational?

Yeah, so my school refuses to get books for the children. Instead, they spend rediculous amounts of money on stupid internet ventures (as...

Pip lies. He has charm. It just takes a couple years (or 8) to find it smile

That's crackified! Photo copy everything? wouldn't it be more cost effective to get the books?

Allright....time for an update eh?

Well things are going pretty ok here in Korea right now. I'm a bit bummer D left, but she did what she had to do and did it her way. And then another good friend of mine out here is leaving in just 3 weeks and that will suck, but i've got other good friends here too.

So this weekend...

Ok peepz.

I'm back from Taiwan and i must say that it was pretty damn great there. The people are so friendly and helpful and chinese is a very pretty language to hear when spoken as opposed to the shoutfest that is Korean. I had a great time and saw many impressive things. From the tallest building in the world to the world's greatest collection...

I like the soaking your feet in the gutters image. I see all these people being like "oh! my aching feet!...hang on a sec, let me go stand in the gutter...."

Um, yeah. You know that asshole that holds the plane up from leaving on time because he's late? I was that asshole yesterday. How was i supposed to know that over 2 hours before a 9am flight wasn't enough???? Fuck...the only reason i made the flight on time was customs took pity on me and actually drove me to my gate.

So i'm in Taipei...

Ok peepz. Long overdue update comencing in five, four, three, two, one....

So things are getting better here (finally!) though i suppose they couldn't have gotten much worse save if i'd somehow gotten my dick caught in a subway door. At any rate, i am now on my third job in as many months and this one's a keeper.

My boss doesn't speak much English,...

Glad to hear things have turned around and gotten better over there. As for the "excitement"... meh. I noticed that you had tangled with her once before-- your posting those pictures was hi-larious. biggrin Nice work.
tiffanylynn:
How long do you plan to be over there? Just long enough to experience reverse culture shock? tongue

So does your door warn you when you're about to get your dick caught in it?

I think there is a happy medium. 5am some nights (though not for me lately), 11pm others.

kiss

Rest assured, things are going extremely well here (finally). Next week: camp. Three weeks: as yet unknown exotic vacation.

I don't think I'd buy anything leather 2nd hand either, never really was much of a fan of it in general. The coat I wear all the time is actually one won at a place I used to work.

I'm not one to say I'd never buy leather again, nor do I tell others not to. Though, sometimes it's more earth friendly than the man made alternatives which tend to wear out faster in some cases. Kind of a lose lose situation for me unfortunatly.

I've been pretty happy with non-animal alternative fabrics and items so far though and would get them again.

Well, it's off to a rough start on this end, but hey -- we have 11.5 months left. biggrin

So i got a new job today. Somehow i don't feel all that comfortable with my decision. Why is this? Because i've been burned twice here already? Perhaps. Or maybe it's because now i'll be like a two hour subway ride away from the only person who's a really good friend to me here: D. I'm not sure...but it feels weird. Is this a...

Aw, don't sweat it man. After a couple of months you'll get used to two hour rides. I got to the point where a 3 hour road trip in the States is nothing.

Enjoy your New Year's eve. Wish I could be at Gecko's tonight. smile

Hmmm....

Happy New Year, and good luck with the job.....again. biggrin

Surprisingly, being 12000 miles from home and not knowing anyone here for Christmas was not too bad at all. In fact Christmas turned out better than my wildest dreams considering the circumstances.

Christmas Eve: Went to this place called Bar Na Na for their Christmas Eve party which turned out to be really awesome. There was a Korean Ska band there that was a bit...
