so i'm still not the manager, though customers still think i am....we have a label-sponsored contest going on where whichever of our stores sells the most of a selection of five mediocre-to-crappy cds gets $2500 to split amongst the employees and a ps3. my bestest coworker pal (and would-be assistant manager) told the manager that if we don't win, he'll get him (the manager) fired. i love my coworkers.
i have a superfun day planned with the boyfriend. we're going to see The Science of Sleep, going to get Halloween decorations for my store (i don't care if i'm compensated or not for them, i'll get cheapo stuff and have a blast decorating anyway), possibly stopping by the warehouse branch of the stores if they got the second season of Wonder Showzen in (i can't BELIEVE we didn't have it last night!! Andy Milonakis but NO WONDER SHOWZEN???), and then dinner at our favoritest of swanky restaurants...the Macaroni Grill. you know, that Italian chain with the build-your-own pasta bowls and paper tablecloths that you can draw on with crayons they have on the tables, which are Crayola but have cute special Italian food names like eggplant and parmesan cheese and stuff. yeah, that's a hot date for us. we're dorks.
also, our mini-vacation in NYC is shaping up to be AWESOME. there may be a good (FREE!!!) stand-up show to go to the night we get in, the next day is Halloween and there will be a signing by FRANK FUCKING KOZIK at the Kidrobot store, along with possibly the Halloween Monkey Tuesday edition of the Penn Jillette radio show, and other Halloweenish activities will probably be very easy to find. then the next day is the opening day of the Living Dead Dolls custom show (which was my excuse to go to NYC all along) and that night we have tickets to see The Knife. we would leave the next day. i still need to buy bus tickets. but YAAAYYYYY VACATION IN NEW YORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
