What Christmas Means to Me
I don't believe in God. Even when I did, when I was younger, I hardly ever thought of Christmas as Christ's birthday. I thought of it as a time of year when people stop whatever they're doing, give gifts to friends and family members even if they don't like them and just have time to relax.
So Christmas, to me, is not a religious event. I celebrate Christmas because I enjoy giving gifts and I enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas; the tall trees, the lights on everyone's houses, and the children who still believe in Santa. Which reminds me. I always liked Frosty the Snowman way better than Santa. I hereby suggest that Frosty the Snowman be the new mascot for Christmas.

they often seem lonely or sad...any vice used to stifle emotions makes me sad.
