Alright, time for a more uplifting entry.
Krakow is a gorgeous city. It gave my such a strong first impression of Poland, that Poland is now on my "must come back and see more" list. I ended up staying two more night, for a total of 5 days. It rained pretty steady for about 4 of those days, which kinda sucked, but I didn't let it get me down.
I ended up not going to the Salt Mines, just because I decided to go to NORWAY!!!! Yea!! So in an effort to save money like crazy, I have to cut some things out fo my schedule. I am very excited about NORWAY. The cheapest airline ticket I could find was from Brussels to Stockholm for $50 for a roundtrip. That is pretty good. I will take a train from Stockholm to Oslo and then to someother undetermined place in Norway. I decided to do it that way because to take a train there it would take like 15 hours or some unreasonable amount of time. It was kinda ironic because after I had booked my ticket, I came back to the hostel and was chillin, when I ran into three guys from Norway. Haven't meet a single one on the trip so far.
Anyways, when it finally stopped raining, I went to the huge Wawel castle in Krakow. It was really impressive, and even had a dragon's cave in it. I'm not sure how many of you know who Rick Steves is, but I ran into him in Krakow!!! That was cool. He is an American travel guide author, and also has tv shows about different places to go in Europe.
I am clearly addicted to Polish food. MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Pierogies are the best. They are a dumpling filled with just about anything you could ask for: potatos (called Ruski, or Russian), mushrooms, meat, cheese, sweet cheese...........
And they are really cheap.
I am in Wroclaw right now, heading to Poznan in about an hour.
One night at the hostel, I met a Polish guy and ended up drinking waaaay tooo much Polish vodka. Hahahahahah
