There's something to the alignment of the stars that's making everyone go crazy... or it's probably just that I never notice how crazy everyone is until everything in my life goes off on a tangent as well.
Either way, I think that I've changed everything for the better, and am in no means limiting the change any further. I've finally stopped smoking. This March 1st would have made it seven years, and I just couldn't bring myself to accept that I've been smoking for that long. I've now been 5 weeks without even a drag, and it's killing me but I love every second of it. Ironically enough, I still feel like I can't breathe more than ever. I guess it's all of the cleaning that my lungs are having to do. They both feel like they are about to purge themselves from my body.
I've also stopped freaking out about what to do after graduation. Many of you know that I am about to graduate with two very pointless liberal arts degrees that weren't going to help too much in the grand scheme of getting a job. I've thought it over for a long time and was leaning toward going to nursing school after I graduate. The thought process is that when I want to go back to school I will have the time and money to do so. Plus, no matter where I want to move, there will always be a job waiting for me there. It didn't hurt that a few days ago I tossed a fortune cookie to my friend and opened mine, mouth agape, reading, "You would prosper in the field of medicine." I mean, really. You can't tell me that isn't a bit bizzare to say the least. So here I am, now I just have to make sure I'll at least have a decent part time job while I go through more schooling. One of my friends actually teaches at the tech school I'm about to go to and he only had a BA in English, so I'm beginning to wonder if I could apply for a job there and teach Anth or German while trying to become a RN.
I'm still in the process of trying to exercize more and not eat so much crap... but I have a feeling this will be a longer project. It's not helping that girl scout cookies just went on sale all over Athens. I can't turn my head without seeing some eight year-old with her mother and a table with boxes of cookies towering over her head. It did make me very sad though that the young girl was having her mom tell her how much everything was and how much to give back. (although, being the daughter of an accountant and a math major, I may be a bit bias).
Oh yeah, and I finally got the nerve to cut all of my hair off. I always wanted to, but was so attatched to the idea of it being really long. It's a completely nonsensical notion though. Why the hell should I be more attatched to my hair than most other things? So I finally smited vainity and just did it.
I've also been having more fun doing random ass things again. This patterned funk that I've been in just wasn't flattering against my pale face. So a friend and I went and got some sweet ass fake tattoos from the store and went and played Toli. Although in highschool I had fun convincing people that my tattoo was from a quarter machine, I haven't really had a fake tattoo since sometime in middle school. Being absurd is hilarious though. I also really want to see who skips this and goes straight to the pictures then comments with "sweet new tat" or something along those lines. Either way, it's already provided hours of amusement, which was well worth the $0.50

(well someone had to say it )
Congrats on giving up the cancer sticks, you'll be running marathons in no time. As for the hair, I'm generally not a huge fan of shorter hair so was a little bit disappointed when I read it until I saw the pics - at which point I realised it does look good, there's still the same beautiful face there so it's just like a change in the jewellery or something
Oh, and I reckon you should definitely do nursing. Even if it's only because the cookie told you to.
