Tuesday morning update for you
Well Sunday night was a darn good time.
Me and Niky (the girl , see previous journal for more info) went to see Walls of Jericho. And what a good show they put on !!
The first band on were call the Seventh Cross who i can honestly say i've never seen a band quite like them. They are nuts , in a good way nuts but still nuts. Me and niky were stood by the side of the pit next too the bar , and at one point the lead singer of Seventh Cross throws himself into the crowd with the mic still singing away and walks through the crowd giving people abuse and joining in the pit. And then he runs and throws himself over the BAR Right where i'm stood i literally had to move out of the way or he would have landed on me. It might sound odd here but it was the funniest thing. And the singer then grabs the barman and starts screaming at him with the microphone.
Then Walls of Jericho come on and i'm always amazed how the lead singer Candace has got such a strong and powerful Hardcore voice when she's about 5'2 (and also looks like she could easily be an SG). They are a really good live band who i seriously recommend to you all to see at some time. Plus with this being on in the Kingston Peel which is just like a large pub , its crazy when you get the song that they invite people to stage dive from , meanwhile i'm down the side with me arm around Niky
I dropped her off later and nothing happened but we have been texting and i'm talking to her on msn right now while she's at work. She wants me to go over her's some time this weekend so we can watch a few anime dvd's together , i take that as a good sign. I did not ever notice before till she told me she never drinks alcohol now , and when she said that i did realise i've probably never seen her with anything more then a coke.
I also got two tickets to see Nine Inch Nails at Brixton on March the 8th yaaaaaaaaaaah and best yet i was down the pub last night and my friend simon has given me his ticket for Dj Shadow at Brixton on december the 16th for free as he can't go
Right i'm in a good mood and i'm off to walk the dog
party on people

And I'm guessing Rumsfeld may be leaving for more reasons than simply being fired or asked to resign, though those may have happened as well. With an opposing Congress, he was going to get his ass handed to him. If he's not in office, he doesn't have to defend himself.
My favourite quote from the news so far has been one of the little bottom-of-the-screen lines on BBC: "Bush says the world is a safer place thanks to Rumsfeld." I figure the last word, "resigning," just wouldn't fit on the screen.
