I'm still getting used to the new site design, but I'm okay with it so far.
I've been working part time in a law office, doing clerical type work, editing documents, arranging files, etc. The guy I work for is cool; the only downside is his office is on the far south end of town, so it's a long drive, but he's okay with me doing some of the work from home when applicable.
My depression has been under control for the most part, though I have suffered through some rather manic-depressive type episodes that have gone away.
The US govt shutdown is fucking ridiculous, as un-democratic a move as I've seen since, well, 1995, when the stupid GOP pulled the same boneheaded move. I do feel badly for my ex, who is a furloughed federal employee who's been sitting home for a week now without pay. I guess she'll get paid retroactively, but I'm sure she's tripping out.
