This picture was taken the day I did this tattoo, it was very fresh.
The history about it is that I had an amazing dog, my family adopted him because he was about to be sacrificed, he was born to be sold but he had some health problems and he couldnt get to his mom to breastfeed properly. Because of that he didn't grow like his brothers and he was not "beautiful" enough for the buyers to want him. The woman in charge of the kennel was going to kill him... I dont know how, but my dad heard that and said: "No, she cant do that! She doesnt need to kill him, I want him, I'm going to adopt and take care". And so he was at home... In the beggining he could't eat by himself, we needed to give him only doughy food, but in a few days he was eating solid food all by himself. He was a very happy puppy, he was confortable with every new person he met, he was not a barking dog, instead he was very lovely. Everyone who knew him was in love.
After a few months he got very sick, with Canine Distemper Virus, he almost died, but with a long and difficult treatment he got better. When he was about to be 1 year old he scratched his eye, the blinded one, and it got a hole, my dad took him to the vet. He needed to take that eye away, so they give my dad 2 options, get it dry with eye drops and after that take it away with surgery OR go straight to surgery. As it was going to end with surgery, my dad choose to go to surgery.
The thing is, they never asked if he had any desease in life, and that virus that almost killed him before, made his heart so weak. In anesthesia his heart stopped, they tried to reanimate twice, but he didnt make it. He died because of an eye surgery. That was the second time in life I saw my dad crying. Everyone cried. I still feel like crying sometimes when I remember he running through the room, or sleeping in my backpack, or when he bark for the first time because he wanted to enter in my room and the door was closed.
But I like to think that he was very loved and happy while he was with us, he is going to be in our hearts forever.
