For the most part I would say I'm spared the dwonside of shitty co-workers. It's the upside of an independent store, where I can take any concerns directly to the owner, and where I normally work with the same 6 people. There's one person who only works one day a week, and thats one of the days I never work. This person got called in to do a little bit of extra help while things are supposed to be busy, mostly to cover watching the sales floor so the people who have stuff that needs to get done can get it done(IE: Me) Now, this gal technically in some aspects has seniority over me, as shes been there for 2 years, (but if you count the number of shits worked...) Now for those of you who don't know, wednesday is the big shipment day in the comic biz, so every week I got a good deal of stuff to attend to. This is difficult enough without someone who's acting like a 10 year old hovering over me asking where everything in the store is as she's doing a task shes not even supposed to be doing. Now add this to the fact that I had to stop doing things so I could do the basic monkey job this girl was brought in to do because she isnt even doing it. Add to this that this person takes it upon themselves to try and finish my job while Im on my break, and then end up slowing down the whole pace that things were going to the point where I had to double-time it today just to get things taken care of. Add to this the endless fucking whining and bitching because they were stupid enough to wear fucking high heels to a job where she KNEW shed be standing on her feet for the grand whole 6 hour shift. Why did she do this? Because she had a date after work and didnt have the simple sense to bring a pair of sensible shoes to wear while working. So because she was a fucking moron, she got given some numbskull little busiwork task and the rest of us had to cover the slack. Add to this that when she was shown how to do something properly at the till (which deals with money, that nice part most businesses are pretty sensitive about) she'd cry 'thats stupid' 'thats retarded' 'why do I have to do that?' and so on. I really hope that this pain in the ass doesn't get given many more shifts with me, cause after another day or two of this I'm probably going to get pretty irate. It's one thing if someones fucking around at work, thats fine, they can deal with their own mess. But when someone does idiotic shit that makes it so I have to do more, or when they fuck up the shit that I'm doing, thats where I take some issue. Thank god tomorrows fight night.
